STACI + CHRISTOPHER

SEPTEMBER 26-28, 2017 | OLOWALU PLANTATION | OLOWALU | MAUI | HAWAI'I

OUR STORY

We were neighbors, but that's not how we actually met...

We technically met at the bus stop...on the way to our date. Christopher had suggested a restaurant where we could do drinks. Staci thought, 'Sure, I can take the bus there.' Turns out he had the same idea.

GETTING

THERE

TRANSPORTATION

The only airport that serves Maui from the Mainland is Kahului Airport (aka Maui International Airport) and is known by the airport code OGG. We highly recommend a rental car to explore and discover the island. If you're leaving the driving to the pros, there are limited options. Although Uber now services the island, it is extremely limited (particularly on the West side where all wedding-related activities will be held) and very expensive. Taxi and airport shuttles are available but need to be arranged at least 36-48 hours in advance of your flight's arrival and/or departure. Be sure to reconfirm, too!

ACCOMMODATION

We suggest staying on the West side of Maui. AirBnB offers inexpensive options in and around Lāhainā. There also are many privately-owned condo options offered on Hotels.com or Booking.com. If you're looking for a resort setting, check out these options ranging from traditional hotel rooms to family-friendly condominiums:

Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa ****

The Westin Maui Resort & Spa, Kāʻanapali ****

The Westin Kāʻanapali Ocean Resort Villas ****

Honua Kai Resort & Spa ****

The Kapalua Villas Maui ****

The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua *****

She's a little bit luxe. And he's a little bit rustic. We're still trying to marry our styles, so we are slowly adding items to our registry.
